Australian Embassy issued a travel warning on Friday to its citizens, urging them to exercise a high degree of caution when visiting Thailand and to avoid demonstrations, political rallies, and area with concentrations of military personnel.
"We continue to receive reports that terrorists may be planning attacks against a range of targets, including places frequented by foreigners," the warning said.
"Reports indicate possible bombing attacks at crowded places such as department stores, and skytrain and subway stations in Bangkok on Friday 23 February 2007," it said.
The statement pointed to the two small explosions on January 30's at the Rama Gardens Hotel and the Daily News, as well as series of bombings in various locations in Bangkok on 31 December 2006 that killed three, injuring over 30 others and six foreigners.
It said further attacks cannot be ruled out.
The Australian government also advised its citizens to reconsider their travel to Thailand's deep south.
The Nation
Do they know something that we don't?
I don't want to repeat the same analysis as Bangkok Pundit, and I agree with everything he posted, so here is the link to the Bangkok Pundit's post on the warnings.
As BP pointed out, Canada upgraded their warning on the 23rd.
General Sonthi and his juntacrats have been bungling many things recently, especially national security issues, so I would take these warnings seriously.

This is outstanding, from the Nation today:
"Police in Bangkok remained on high alert Saturday after three western nations and Japan warned of possible terror attacks in the Thai capital.
It seems all 3 countries have better intel about Thailand and its 'little local difficulty' than Thailand does. And does more about it.
Outstanding
