Good Lord, where did PBS come up with these people from? I would have thought that two pump jockeys from the neighborhood Mobile station would have offered more interesting and articulate commentary than these two clowns.

Is it just because almost no one in the US actually cares what is happening in Thailand that a television network recruits such second-rate nonentities as their talking heads on the subject?

Well...actually, yes.

Hi Jake-

Big fan of your books.

Kevin Hewison is a pretty big scholar on Thai politics.

Never heard of the other guy.

I doubt many people in the US give two shits about Thai politics, including Thai expats, at least the ones I know.

Frankly, I was surprised the story made it to the PBS newshour.

I don't know what goes on in the minds of US news editors when they choose international stories.

The main problem, as has been stated before, is...If the yellow shirts get their way and remove the vote from the poor(farmers) because they are 'to stupid to vote', they keep voting in the same candidates. China is looking very carefully at the out come of this. If they start applying the same rational. Half the world will be disenfranchised from their Human rights !
This will lead, down the road to the biggest revolution in human history !
